MEMBERSHIP
RVT Admission Standards
A person must meet and maintain the following qualifications and conditions to use the designation ‘Registered Veterinary Technician’ or ‘Registered Veterinary Technologist’ or the initials ‘RVT’.
- Be a graduate from a program of study that has been approved by the Directors.
- Write the Veterinary Technician Examination recognized by the OAVT Board of Directors.
- Successfully complete an examination prescribed by the Directors on professional ethics and the regulatory environment. Please check the Professionalism and Ethics course registration form for any additional dates.
- Produce evidence that he has not been convicted of a criminal offence. Please contact your local police station for information regarding police checks.
- Be a member in good standing of the Corporation.
